Quads

A club tennis format, finally with a home

Four players. Three partners. One court.

Quads is doubles with a twist: every player partners with everyone else, eight points a rotation, forty-eight on the night. Winners move up a court. Losers move down. No paper slips. No group-text archaeology.

How a night of Quads works

    Four on a court

    Each session, players are seeded onto courts by last week’s finish — or by USTA rating on week one.

    Three partner rotations

    You play with each of the other three. After every rotation, switch ends and Ad/Deuce. Everyone serves twice.

  3. 3

    Eight points, then eight more

    A rotation is worth 8 team points. Your team’s points are yours. After three rotations the four totals add to 48.

  4. 4

    Move up, move down

    High score on a court climbs. Low score drops. The middle two stay. Next week’s lineup writes itself.

Organizers run it. Players just show up.

Create a league, add the roster, share one QID. Players do not register. Anyone with the league QID can see standings and punch in scores from a phone on the fence.
